New ticket system as of May 1, 2026
We are starting a ticket collaboration with the Holbæk Ferry, so that all passengers can decide for themselves which ferry they want to take from Orø. We hope this will be of benefit to tourists, permanent residents and holiday home guests.
The collaboration starts on May 1, 2026 and will initially run for a trial year.
There will therefore be no ticketing on the outbound journey and only return tickets will be sold.
Buy your ticket online
In order for us to comply with the crossing time of 6 minutes, from January 1, 2026 you must buy your ticket for Østre Færge before boarding the ferry – use the button or scan the QRC code below.
NB: A fee of DKK 20 will be added for purchasing a ticket during the crossing.
Smoke-free vessel
In October 2024 this ferry became a smoke-free vessel.
This means that smoking is prohibited on board the ferry, no matter whether you are in a vehicle or out on the car deck.
This regulation has been put in place to avoid complaints about passive smoking, and to comply with orders from the Danish Maritime Authority and the Danish Work Environment Authority.

Østre Færge offers payment service to our private and business customers who use monthly passes.

Monthly pass
Monthly passes must be purchased between the 25th and the last day of the previous month.
If you are unable to purchase a pass due to illness, vacation, etc. please contact the ferry to make further arrangements.
